Hi, I was wondering if the gtp piston heads are the same as the gt piston heads on a 2000 model?

are you asking about cylinder heads, or the shapedesign of the piston tops?
Both are different, and for different reasons. If you're thinking of swapping for performance gains, don't bother.
The GTP uses a lower static compression piston to fight knock/detonation due to higher cylinder pressure created by the supercharger's boost. The GTP cylinder heads have larger valves and intake ports (that won't match up to the GT's intake maniflold) to flow more air.
