This is a quick build I did over the Memorial Day weekend. I started it Friday evening and finished it up Monday night. I have too many projects in process and felt I just needed to finish something. This kit was done basically box stock. I used Tamiya Camel Yellow, no clear just some waxing. Added some SMS carbon decals, stripped all the chrome and sprayed parts with various metalizers.

Very clean build. There should be way more comments! This is a very cool car and you did it justice. I'm impressed over the paint - you did a great job on it especially without clear. It's just gorgeous.

lol I know what you mean about just having to get a quick car done now and then. It turned out great!

Wish my "quick" builds came out this nice. Great work.
Any closeups of the rear of the car with the body off? The anodized fittings (red/blue) appear pretty realistic.
Did you glue the body on? Next hobby lobby 40% off coupon and I'm heading in for another one. Built the #3 car, but I really need to build the LeMans winner as well.

I don't have any close-up shots of the rear. If you want I could take a pic and post it. All I did though was paint the parts with alclad II aluminum and then paint with clear blue and clear red. The body is not glued in those pics, that's why the wheel gap looks a little strange in the one pic. I may end up gluing it though because it doesn't fit very well. There's either a gap at the front or rear.
Thanks for the replies guys.

Check the roll cage. Mine was like that as well, and the body was hitting the roll cage. Can't remember how I resolved it, but it fits like a glove now. I ended up gluing the body on to be safe.

Looks great and you did a fine job on the paint regarding that you did it on just one weekend. I couldnīt concentrate the whole time to make it work out the way your build does. The only thing that I see that can be corrected is the position of the front left wheel in regards of the front bonnet. There seems to be something wrong. But that is just a minor thing.
Hope to see more of your projects finished.
