mass air flow sensor....HELP!

03 Chevy Silverado 5.3 missing so bad you cant drive it. Posts p0101. Have replaced Mass airflow sensor twice and it keeps posting the same code. also jsut replaced M A P sensor and replaced the fule filter. What could this be? :banghead:

Poor connector at the maf, K and N af can damage it if too much oil, any vacuum leak or air entering the engine unmetered, same issue.

First thing I would do is disconnect the MAF sensor and see if that changes anything. Otherwise, it's not even the MAF sensor. Since it's a new car, I'll rule out oil problems, but I dont know its mileage... or its history. If it's misfiring, it should post a misfire code. Either P0300 or P030X where X is from cylinders 1 to 8. Check for vacuum leaks, fuel line pressure, and spark plugs and wires.

an 03 isn't all that new anymore.

I'd check the cat, see if its plugged.
