short throw shifter

Hey guys been awhile, anyhow i'm having a mechanic resurface my flywheel and replace the clutch and all that good stuff, and i decided i want to install a short throw shifter.. i found this one on ebay, which seems just fine, and apparently the tip of the shifter is threaded so that one may install an aftermarket shift knob... does any aftermarket shift knob work, designed for 93-97 nissan altimas?

just kinda asking if anyone has any opinions on this shifter or if they've ever had difficulties with installation of one (i downloaded isntructions already) or if you all strongly suggest AGAINST buying a shifter off ebay, etc. just looking for some thoughts.
