Idle Speed

How do you check on your engines idle speed?

If you don't have a tach, which I don't, I use a timing light that has a built-in digital tach on it. I can check my timing and idle speed all at once which is pretty handy. They're available at most auto parts stores or canadian tire locations (if you're in Canada).
