Ok, Here's the scoop.
I've got a 2002 Olds Alero. It turns over but wont fire unless I use starting fluid or carb spray. I've checked the fuel pressure and it checks out fine. I've changed the fuel filter, spark plugs and wires. When it starts, it runs perfectly fine! No hesitations, Idles fine. Just if it sits for about 4 hours, It wont start with out using spray.
Any Suggestions will be Greatly Appreciated!!!

Thanks,John.

Hey jhenry, I just had exactly the same problem with my '02 Alero. Have you had any problems since you replaced the fuse? Any idea what caused the fuse to blow in the first place.

My car is back up and running, but I'm worried that a bigger problem may have caused the fuse to blow.

The fuse in my car blew again. Anyone have any ideas on what to look into for a cause?

Welcome to AF GINMF.

I'd say you have a short in the wires somewhere.
I'd probly take a look at the AC compressor plug and see if the wires are damaged and grounding out.

If you two have sunroofs, could have a leaki and it ran onto the fuse panel and caused the short.
This can also burn out the EBCM.

Its happened to me on my GA GT...
Though I've not seen others with this problem, though I have replaced 13-14 Fuse blocks because of corrosion due to moisture.

Hope that helps, good luck
