ok my 98 gt headlights are starting to develop what i think is a common problem with all 3000gts? well for one..they both leak water..always have since ive owned it..but now one of the them is starting to turn a yellowish color..i beleive its happening underneath the plastic..is there anyway to fix this problem before it escalades out of control? ive read about takin the headlights apart..but i thought you could only do that with the 94 glass headlights? correct me if im wrong?

you should be able to take them apart same as the 94s, only difference is that the paint on the 94s is on a seperate piece, where on the 95-98s its right on the lexan.

anyways, id say take them apart and clean the lexan, then reseal them good so they dont leak.

The yellowing is most likely the clearcoat peeling.

yes ive seen that thread before actually about the wet sanding the headlights..so your saying the yellow color is on the outside of the headlight? its not a peeling effect.i cant feel the yellow spot..i think its underneath the the lexan..but im not sure..i dont wanna just start sanding down the headlights..could be an expensive mistake..
