Hey guys,

I just stumbled on a b20. My buddy is a tow truck driver and ended up getting his hands on a crv wreck that just cleared the insurance and all that crap that goes on when a person wrecks their car. Anyhow, I've been reading up on swaps since he told me a month ago he might be able to get me this engine. I'm real excited but still missing a few pieces of the puzzle. I know I"m gonna need the linkages, mounts etc. What I'm most worried about is what ecu I'm gonna need for this swap, and what tranny will compliment the high torque numbers this engine will give me...hehe...it has 15,000 origional kms on it! Any advice would help..I haven't stopped reading up on this since everything became official, and my eyes are bugging out....PS. I just wanna do a straight swap for now..I'm not looking to convert it to vtech or anything just yet. Its outta an 01' ( I believe a b20z - we are pulling it this weekend)

You will also need an LS (integra) intake manifold and tb...since the stock crv will not clear your hood. Any B series tranny, with lsd if you can find one. As for ecu, are you going to run it obd0 or obd1? A chipped pr4 (ls) will work ok, but I would strongly suggest getting something programmable like hondata if your budget will allow.

thanks for the advice. Now that you mention the clearance issues with the intake I can't see how I didn't think of that...it is pretty damned big now that I look at it, it does sit high. The ecu I'm gonna do some research on as I don't fully understand the interchangeability as of yet, I did grab the ecu outta the crv, but I suspect thats not what I'm looking for.
