:uhoh: Recently my car won't start while the transmission in the "Park" postion. However, it starts ok when you put it in neutral. I was told by a mechanic that this issue was due to "Neutral Safety Switch". Anyone knows how to install and where the new switch goes?? Please advise.:uhoh:

Top of the trans where the linkage goes into the case.

Actually, I found the switch under the gear shifter not where you recommended. Had to wiggle the wire and sprayed WD-40. It works fine now but not sure if this really is going to be a permanent fix. Th:naughty: ank you

I guess theis is a floor shifter not a column shifter, correct?
