2-Horsepower Starter (95 Chevy P/U)

I bought a starter for my 95 chevy 1500 pickup (350, 5.7L). I hooked it up but it didn't start. I noticed that the starter has 2 posts for the black ignition wire but figured i only had to connect it to one post. I'm i wrong? Do i have to run a wire to both posts in order for the starter to work?

Oops!!!! Wire connected to wrong post....LOL!!!
