I have got an error code P0325 from my 98 Village, only 52k miles, it is "Knock sensor malfunction". Can anybody tell me where the knock sensor is located and how tough it would be to replace it. Do I really need to replace it?
Thanks
Thanks

It is not important as long as you dont have any other problems. Your sensor sensed some hard vibrations and it triggered. If you have no other problems then just clear it and move on. If you do then post and we will go from there.

Thank you very much. I have no other problems at all and got the error code erased. I will scan the engine again to see if the code will come back. I know that firing time would be retarded if knock sensor is malfunction. This would hurt MPG. Am I right? Welcome your opinion and advice.

Yes it will. It will also just clear itself once it goes thru a few run cycles. The placement of the sensor is the problem on this van. On the newer ones it is located on the outside so its easy to replace and picks up less false readings. Check your tune up parts just in case.
