Major Ranger Headache

To make a long story a little bit shorter...I blew a heater hose recently, replaced it and my 1991 2.3L wants to run rough. Took it down to replace a blown head gasket...still doesn't have any fire on #1 plug, from the coil pack, tried replacing that, still no fire w/new one, replaced ingnition modgule, same thing. Inside was actually was pretty clean. Sometimes it will run on 2-3 cyl. w/check engine light then it will kick in all 4 cyl. and run great. Then again it will "chug" 1 or 2 times then the check engine light comes on but still runs on all 4. 190,000 mi. on it. :banghead: Help!!!!!!!!!!

how many coils does it have? 1, 4, or 8? Did you try replaceing the spark plug wires?

What was the code number from the CEL? Have you checked signal to the injector or the injector itself?
