my first race

I have a 1991 integra gs 5 speed with cold air intake and high performance tires... thats all.
My first race I was at work and a friend of my manager came by and asked whos acura it was out in the lot so i said it was mine, and he wanted to race, so i left work, went to this secluded street with a female friend of mine (she likes street racing, so i let her ride passenger). anyway, the other guy had a 99 chevy s-10 5 speed with exhaust, intake, headers, and NOS. i dont have much practice launching the car, since that was my first race, so when the guy standing between our cars dropped his arms i stepped the gas too hard and my tires spun for a sec... even with the spinning i beat him by like a car length and a half off the line, then he caught up, and eventually won. at the end of the race my front bumper was half way past his passenger door. i had a passenger too.. so i could have won otherwise, but she had fun so i dont really care. we got up to 104 mph on that road, which was a 35 mph zone BTW. s-10s peak 190 horsepower at 4400rpm, i peak 130 horsepower at 6200rpm. oh well i had fun.

nice job man you win some you lose some in a way your lucky he didnt whip you more he proabably didnt use his laughing gas well anyways good job

nice race, but for the record, i think people that race with passengers are gay. not a personal problem with you, but its just an issue i have.:)

Glad you had fun but deserted streets are rarely posted at 35mph I suggest finding someplace a lot safer to go 3 times the legal limit.

I agree. Passengers slow you down and what would you do with yourself if you got in an accident and killed the passenger, but you survived? Not smart.

I agree. Passengers slow you down and what would you do with yourself if you got in an accident and killed the passenger, but you survived? Not smart.
I don't care if someone wants to ride in a race or not, I won't let them.

ok heres an explanation why i rode with a passenger..
i work at a pizza place, so does that girl.
she came by one night to make herself a free pizza (we get all the free pizza we want!) and the managers friend was hellof hitting on her, so she was like "thats my boyfriend over there" and pointed to me (we arent dating, but it got her away from that guy). then the guy who was hitting on her, plus his friend, came into the store, and asked whos acura it was out in the parking lot and i said it was mine, then they wanted to race. we went out to the road (which is almost deserted at night, but not during the day, completely deserted was a bit of an exageration). the guy who was hitting on her got out of the guys s10 and said "im getting out of the car for weight and shit" (hes a foul mouth) and then said "she can get out if she wants, to make it fair ya know?" and she whispered to me "no no please dont make me get out" cuz she didnt want to be alone, in the dark, with a guy who wants in her pants. i wanted her to get out, because of the liability in case i crashed, but she was like hanging on to me and it was the whole heat of the moment thing... so yea, i dont race with passengers now, back then i was young and dumb, didnt think of how dangerous what i was doing really was...
