airbag code 13

what does it mean? recently had a problem with a bad ground on my ccrm. very recently. airbag code began flashing, before I solved the ground problem. I did unplug the airbag sensor while investigating, pretty sure thats when it started flashing. how do I reset it, assuming nothing is wrong with the airbag?

Well, from what I'm reading, 13 says that the airbag circuit has shorted to ground, also the diagnostic monitor will blow the internal thermal fuse while flashing 13,, monitor must also be replaced as fuse is not serviceable,, short must be found before monitor is replaced, especially if it is intermittent,, I would recommend you have an experienced airbag person diagnose this issue, for safety's sake, yours especially.. most sites will not entertain any airbag questions for that reason..

Thanks for your input,but since the car is weeks away from the junk yard, I just do the old electical tape fix.

My 1994 Taurus Wagon has same issue. Did you ever cure your CEL 13?

No, I just let it keep blinking, but I covered the light with tape so it won't distract me.
