General 2002 GM LS Questions

I just purchased a 2002 GM LS on the 21st of this month. It has 61,000 miles on it and is in excellent condition inside and out. It had always been dealer serviced and the previous owner kept all of the records in a file folder which also came with the car.

I realize that the things that I have questions about are nitpick little items but it's in such good condition that if any of these things need to repaired, I want to have it done so that everything works just like it would if it was brand new.

1.) The cigarette lighter has a blue ring around it. Is this supposed to be illuminated at night?

2.) Is the panel dimmer switch supposed to be illuminated at night? If so, should I go ahead and have them replace all of the backlighting bulbs in the headlamp switch also (same housing) so that I don't have to take it back again in the near future if one of those burn out?

3.) It looks as if the power mirror switch is not illuminated at night. Is this correct? (was replaced recently according to service records.)

4.) Does the keyless entry pad (driver's door) have replaceable bulbs or does a whole new keypad have to ordered? The light on my 5-6 button is out. (same question as #2 about replacing other bulbs if bulbs are replaceable.)

5.) Outside temperature sensor is consistently +10 degrees off. Is it normally pretty accurate or should I have it replaced also?

That's all of the questions I can think of for right now but I'm sure I may have a few more as time goes on. Since I've only had it for a little over a week now, I regret that I probably won't be able to reciprocate with answers to anyone else's questions in this forum but maybe that'll change after I've owned it awhile longer.

Take Care,
David H.
