Hey I have an 89' cavalier Z24 with the 2.8L V6 in it and I was wondering does anyone know what i could do to drop some weight off of it and still keep it somewhat street legal?

Also any ideas on how to add some more power without spending crazy money?

Thanks in advanced for any ideas

wow, where to start with the weight reduction. there could be millions of things. new wheels/tires, lose the back seat, take out air conditioner, remove automatic windows/locks, take out spare tire/hardware, take out door panels....on and on and on....
and as for the power thing, its always the same, intake, exhaust, cam, headers, etc......

To add to the above:

Passenger seats are for passengers. Don't carry those and you don't need a seat.

A dashboard is just cosmetic really.

You don't need a full tank of gas to go 1/4 mile, do ya?

Carbon Fiber = light

Driver = weight. Eat more vegetables. Exercise.

Performance wise:
You know a 3.1 would pretty much just drop in there, right? Or a 3100...or a 3400...

basically strip EVERYTHING except the engine parts and everything inside and the trunk, take out the spare tires, carbon fiber hood, doors, fenders, trunk, and so on... make it a metal shell on 4 wheels and you probably make 13's.... lol

I also am ordering a new intake and heads soon and i already have a new exhaust package on there but im not gunna mess with the cam.

you don't need a/c for a daily driver :D
Here is my daily driver. If it don't need it, it don't have it. Except the passager side seat (people ride with me alot)
