'96 Sport sometimes stalls at low RPMs

Most of the time it runs/idles fine but every now and then it will stall when I stop or when I remove my foot from the gas (won't happen when I'm rolling along, more when I'm creeping around a parking lot or something like that). However, I do notice that when I'm cruising along and I let off the gas the Tachometer will swing well below idel RPM and then swing back to a normal idle. If I place the vehicle in neutral and keep on the gas to maintain idle it will contunie running but stall as soon as I let off the gas...unless I get it rolling about 30 mph and let off the gas so the RPMs swing like I mentioned above. After that it runs/idles fine for awhile again.

I had the fuel filter replaced (it really needed one) but that didn't help. Any input will be greatly appreciated. Please email me at [email protected] :naughty:

I would clean and adjust the throttle body.
Clean and check the thottle plate gap (.002 in.).
Check the condition of the Pcv hoses (not hardened or cracked)
Check hoses attached to the intake manifold
Tighten the intake manifold nuts (or check to see if any has loosened or broken)That is a start.
