The scanner indicates "#6 CYLINDER MISFIRE".
I replaced the sparkplug and sparkplug wires on that cylinder and checked the contacts in the distributor cap. Yet, I continue to get the same message.
I would greatly appreciate any advice or theories. Clogged injector?
Thanks!

I know that in the MKIV's #6 seems to have the most trouble with this, try cleaning the plugs and trying again. The reason it is is because it's where most of the oil buildup occurs in the cam compartments and sometime due to a bad seal it can leak into the spark plug cannal and flow down to number 6 causing a misfire. Again, check and make sure that the plugs are clean as well as the cylinders when you put them back in. Also check and make sure that there is no oil or anything else in the spark plug canal and if there is replace the gasket.
Another thing could just be timing, check and make sure everything is in time, it can be a pain but goes a long way. Hope this helps.
