auto headlight shut off

On a 2003 Grand Am is there any setting to extend the time on the automatic shut down of the headlights? I don't even get to the front of the car before my lights shut off. If there is a time setting where would it be?

There's no real way of adjusting the length of time the lights stay on. I believe its preset at 20-30 seconds? I've found out it depends on how fast you get out of the car. The longer you take after you shut the car off the shorter amount of time the lights will be on when you get out. Hope this helps some.

i think it turns off itself after 20 mins if you leave the head lights on. (called battery save feature? or sth like that)
so, if u want it to be on longer, just leave them on when u get out
