1g throttle body

Is there a big differece in performance between the 1g and 2g throttle bodies i know the 1gs are bigger but is it significant. THe reason i ask is because im getting idle surge and my ICS is bad and unless anybody has that stupid motor and sensor thingy i think ill just get a new TB but should i grab a 1g while im at it or just buy the first one i find 2g or 1g and will i run into any fitment/ sensor compatibility issues with the 1g

This is one of those mods that is hard to quantify. I did it together with a 1 head and intake manifold. IMO, it's not worth it unless you are trying to make big power on the 2g head and intake manifold. In this case, you will only see improvements if you port the TB flange of the intake manifold to the same size. You could put a 1g intake manifold on it, but you lose your MDP port (which you may or may not (DSMlink) need...) and you should port match the head to the larger 1g runners.

In short, no, I don't think it's worth it 99.9% of the time.
