I have the 98 Intrigue with Autobahn option. What suspension components are differnent from the non-autobahn equipped units? I know tires were H rated, but are the coil springs, struts, torsion bars, etc the same?

I believe the Autobahn package for the Intrigue consisted of tires and heavy duty brakes, which is basically nothing more than 12 inch rotors up front instead of 11 inch rotors.
The speed governor is also much higher on the Autobahn Intrigue, due to the tires it came with stock, I believe they actually will run the adveritsed 140, but I do not advise you to attempt it.

Could also kill him, and thats a risk I dont encourage others to take.
Going 140 is risky, everything on that car needs to be in top shape, something a simple as a wheel weight flying off could be catastrophic.

^How fast do you think it is safe to drive the Intrigue. i sometimes do 90mph. Is that too fast?

There are far too many variables to give an answer to that question, the "safe" speed depends on your definition of safe to begin with.
Lets just take brakes as one variable, have you ever had to slam on your brakes running 90? With the HD rotors the brake fade is bad enough, but I can remember with the stock rotors you would almost have the feeling of not even slowing down at all. At that speed your stopping power is incredibly diminished by heat as soon as you slam on the brakes, so if youre clipping along at 90, will you be able to stop in time to not hit that deer/elk/moose? to not hit that minivan full of kids that thought you were much farther away when the driver creeped out into your lane?
Dont get me wrong I speed with the best of them, but its MY risk, and I dont encourage others to take it. There is no numerical value of speed that is "safe".

I would agree to never recommend speeding. I have taken that risk myself, but cannot take it again for a few years, due to getting 2 tickets from speeding. Before I got my tickets, last summer every night I would push my Intrigue all the way up to the limiter (about 112 mph). I must say that my Intrigue takes on a whole new feeling above 95. It is suddenly very planted and stable. Any bumps in the ride smooth out and the engine feels like it would pull forever. I haven't crested 75mph in the past 6 months, which is sad.
Anyways, the Autobahn package should not have a speed limiter, but it will NOT go 140. 3800 engines can power a car to about 125 and then drag will kill it. If it was the 3.5 (but obviously not, as it's a 98), it would probably go to at least 140.
