Help!!

I just took apart the motor and replace the intake manifold because of a bad oil leaking problem. I put everything back together correctly ( I am pretty sure) and now the truck will not stay running.

At first I thought it was the EGR valve, so I replaced that but it didn't fix the problem.

The truck will not start right away and it is stuttering and stalling. Please help if you have an idea...I have none and this is my main vehicle.

Oh I have a 1992 GMC K1500.

OK, try this: if you press and hold the gas pedal half way down, does it stay running? If it does stay on while you hold down the gas pedal, then you forget to connect a vacuum line OR the air intake gasket broke or you didn't install one or you didn't install it properly. Those are the symptoms of a vacuum leak. I did the EXACT same thing and ran into your problem. EGR valves don't bust instantaneously. They go slowly with time and get stuck one day. You only get symptoms when they're stuck open. To test it, remove the valve and clog the holes.
