Anyone here ever hear of a GMC Twin-Six engine??????

Yes. They also made a V-8 and several sizes of V-6 in the same family. The Twin Six was only good for about 600 ft/lb and 300 HP, and redlined somewhere around 2,500 RPM. Weighed about a ton, too.

I came across the 6066 site a long time ago, lots of gool old info. A friend of mine was engine shopping at some big scrap yard, he called me when he spotted a Twin-Six laying in a pile of other engines. So I knew exactly what it was.
It looks to be in really good shape. 2 cylinders had water in them, but since it was on propane, it's really clean inside. I'm currently getting the engine back in running condition, I just don't know how practical it would be to actually put it in something.
It's a huge block of iron, and weighs something like 1200 lbs. Though it is cool looking.
