I just purchased a 1979 Mustang Cobra and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I can check the 11 number VIN for it to make sure the 5.0 thats in it is stock? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :smile:

god there is so much room in that engine bay

lol does Google pay you for the advertising :lol: I was looking for how many were made with the automatic transmission but cant seem to find it :banghead: lol and yes I tried google lol.

i had a 79 cobra a loooooooong time ago. except it had the turbo 4 banger in it. still wish i had it. as far a your question, you should be able to find a breakdown of the vin in the repair manual
