Today I was looking around for the reason for the miss or hesitation when I first start and run the motor under load. anything out of sorts. i noticed that the brake lines were real rusty and so was the condenser on the coil. Then I saw the missing piece of rubber by the wheel well. For some time water has been splashing up from the wheel in to the engine area. The ECM was not in the splash zone so im thinking it is ok. Its the other things like the condenser and the coil. Is the condenser strickly for the radio? Im not getting any humming so im thinking thats rusty but ok. Next is the coil. Im sure that moisture could not have been good for it. Could the moisture have created a new path for the current? Such as ground? Do they get weak? Perhaps missing when its cold and not as much when hot?
As I havent been to the parts store in a day Im going through withdrawls so... I say buy a cheap coil swap it with the one exposed to the moisture
patch up the hole and bingo i'm set. Worse case i have a spare coil in the truck which aint all bad either.
If anyone can shed some light on the condenser and the coil Im all ears
Thanxs Dwayne
