There should be casting numbers on the block. This will be a 6, 7, or 8 digit number. Find this number and post it back here, or you can go to www.mortec.com and look for it there.

It would help to know if it was a 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, or 12 cylinder engine.

What about 16? Perhaps he has an EMD 16-645E3B two-stroke diesel?
