Hi

I have recently discovered my trunk keys no longer work on my 1994 Buick Century. I have been informed that there may be a latch behind the back seat that will open the trunk. Can anyone verify this information and give me some instructions on removing the back seat?
Thank you in advance for your help.

I don't know about the back seat latch.. but what about the yellow button in the glove box? I have one in my car, same year etc.

for the bottom part of the seat you have to push it in far enough then pull it up a little bit then it will unlatch. then there will be 2 bolts exposed for the back part of the seat. after you take those out, lift the back part of the seat up off of the latches, then pull off the carpeting, and you will be exposed to the trunk. i hope this explanation helps.

Hi...thank you so much for your response, unfortunately this specific model did not include the button in the glove box, I wish it did. I have looked and looked again and then prayed, cleaned my glasses lol, grabbed the flashlight, then looked again. Thanks again for your response.

If your trying to get the trunk open, Push hard and lift up at the bottom right of the lower section of the rear seat to unlatch it, then do the same on the lower left side. Lift up and remove the lower seat. Then there are I Believe 4 bolts that hold the seat back on.....remove them and take it out. Now you will be able to gain access to your trunk area. Your trunk lock should have a small slot in the back (Round tumbler hole with a slot in it) that you can stick a thin screwdriver into and turn it to open the trunk lock. Once you get it open, you'll need to buy a new key lock tumbler. The old tumbler comes out by pushing down and removing the metal "Fork Clip" on the back of the lock assembly, then pushing the lock out.......It's easy! the new one goes in the same way. Get youself a good light source so you can see the slot, turn it Left or Right till the trunk opens.
