90 z24 jerks sometimes

i have a 1990 cavalier z24 and sometimes when im driving the car will start jerking and the tach will start bouncing within about 1000 rpm of where it was and then it will just return to normal does anybody have any suggestions?

Clean the throttle body, replace all filters, the plugs, and possibly the IAC valve sensor thingy (it plugs in on top of the throttle body)
