Hey I'm new to this forum. I searched on this site but found one about a VS having the same issue but mine is a tad different.

I have a 98 VT Commodore 50th Anniversary. Just recently I was driving it and I hear that little tune play from the car as if I had my parking brake still up, I checked it but it was down so I looked at the dash and on the screen it was flashing "HOT" and I saw the temp needle rise to max. I was worried and had to baby the car back home.

I opened the bonnet and it was hot and I noticed a few drops of on the air filter cover, just below where the coolant reserve tank it. I'm waiting for it to cool down so I can check my coolant level. I'm not leaking any though since there are no spots under the car.

Just wondering if anyone knows what possible problems I could be looking at.

Thanx.

Did you find your water levels normal?

If your water levels are fine it sounds like something is stopping air getting to the radiator. Or you fucked a vacuum hose or something, take it to your local mechanic or auto electrician.

Have the thermostat replaced and get a coolant flush while your getting that done as well.
