Anyone use an electric water pump? Pros, cons, brands?

I have a Meziere and they are pretty much the best you can get. I had originally bought a csm or something like that and was not impressed at the fin design so I sent it back. The instalation itself is fairly simple. You take off the water pump, press out the propeller assembly and then bolt in the electric pump to the old pump, the only part that takes any time is trimming the fan shroud but that is fairly simple. If you buy one I'd recomend a painless wiring kit. It has everything you need and should only take about 15 minutes to wire.

What's the advantage of an electric water pump? Less drag on the motor?

I kinda figured. I can't see an electric water pump holding up too well in stop and go traffic on a 95 degree sunny afternoon.

actually a meziere pump comes with a 2 year warranty and is guaranteed for a minimum of a 2500+ hr life expectancy... so thats a better guarantee than a stock pump... + they flow more GPM and reduce drag on the timing chain/crank gear/cam gear...

From what I've read about several different pumps, the Meziere sounds like the best. I may try one when I get a few other things out of the way.
