RUSTED tailpipe

I have a 2007 Grand Vitara that the tailpipe rusted off. Unfortunately the assembly is welded to the muffler. To replace it the dealer wants $378.81 + $24.00 gaskets + $109 installation. And only the dealer carries these parts. Midas won't order the parts and Mr. Tire wants me to come over for an estimate. One stupid pipe $525 inlcuding tax?? I need it to pass emissions testing.

Suzuki holds a monopoly on their parts making - worse than Benz.

I had the y-pipe crack a few years back and they wanted $700 to replace. I had a local body shop fabricate me a pipe for $100. Wish I still lived near them.

DONT BUY A SUZUKI :banghead: - My honda is much easier to repair.

Anyone know where to get one installed for under $500 ??
