Hi my name is Trey I have a 2000 si and I wanting to know everything about putting b16 through around 15-20 pounds of boost. Is it possible to push the greddy kit (since it is so easy to find) that high in boost. I also need to know which internals i would need for those level's of boost.
I already know the fundamental prep work like...cooling and fuel and those things...but i was mainly concered about the pistons. I know ill need a lower compersion piston. But i really wanted to install all the internals before the turbo. And i know with low compresion pistons that would dramatically lower the hp on car before i turbo it since the si has the highest compresion ratio in a civic.
Is there any recomendations on other kits easily available out there for around a 200 to 250 hp gain?

ok turboing your si will make it fast. but your questions about the comp. ratio is true i would lower it alot for that high of boost. i would drop it to 8.5 or9.0 to one. that would be the best. for internals i would deffenatly go with pistons, rods, and head gasket. basicly rebuild it comp. but the only thing is vtec, if you do it right and take the time it can be the greatest turbo. but i know a kid that has gone thru two motors already. so just becarful. and for the kit a gready tdo4 turbo will be just fine. but the best would be the hybrid turbo t3/tdo4 turbo.
let me know if you got any other ?'s

i am assuming youll be running only pump gas because with pump gas i wouldnt run more then 17psi on pump gas, i think thats pushing it. i say you resleeve the block and deck it, upgraded rods, 9:1 comp ratio pistons, knifedged and micropolish your crank. as for the head, youll need a whole new upgraded valve train. i say also get like skunk 3 stage 2 cams, then the valve train to match the lift on the cams. and by valve train i mean valves, valve springs, retainers
