Just a couple questions

Im getting 1 kicker cvr 12'', with a kicker solo baric box. Im not sure what kind of amp to get. I know the amp has to have 20-50 more watts as the speakers RMS. The speaker RMS wattage is 400 max 800. Could I get a 750watt amp and not blow the speaker? I want it to beat to its full potential.
What would yall recomend? Sorry for asking dumb questions.

you can get as big an amp as you want, you just have to set the gain right.

Thanks for the help guys.
What kind of amp would suit 1 12'' the best? Im not sure on which one to get. I dont understand what this means- 4 ohms 700watts x2
2ohms 1200watts x2
and so on
so if my speaker is 4 ohms, that amp would push 700watts on x2 speakers?

if your speaker is 4 ohms and has a rating of 500 rms you would want an amp that will push 500 rms @ 4 ohms. an amp's power is roughly doubled when you cut the impedance in half. so if you have two 500 rms subs that are 4 ohms each, you would need an amp that pushes 1000 rms at 2 ohms.

why at 2 ohms?
why at 2 ohms?

because when you connect the subs together (in parallel) they will be a single 2 ohm load.
