Sold my DSM for a TL!!!!!

Okay guys, so the time came, almost a month ago but I didn't want to start this thread until I had some pics. Here at AF in the DSM section I know we love our pics.

I sold my 92 awd tsi talon. I wanted something more reliable that I didn't have to keep putting money into. Shit breaks on these cars and we know it and its hard to keep them tuned good w/o dsmlink. Plus premium gas is expensive and they just keep rising with the gas prices. Synthetic oil is expensive as hell too. I am a college student and have about 2 more years left and I will be driving a good 60 miles a day for school starting in the fall. I plan to buy a dsm again. Maybe a cheap one next year who knows, but Ill be back in the game sooner or later and I plan to visit this forum as much as I can.

Of course I just couldnt settle for a cheap beater. I wanted somethin more on the luxury side. I sold my dsm for 3500 which I was very happy with to a friend of mine(which is cool b/c I plan to help him work on it and make it better[maybe take it for a spin here n there too hahaha]). I bought my stock dsm for 1500 but before that I sold my N/A dsm for 1300 that I got for free so the turbo dsm cost me 200 bucks. I put lots of money and blood into the car obviosuly. My friend works full time and is becoming a electrician so he has the money that my baby needs. I found 99 acura 3.2TL for 6,500. It has 134xx, its high mileage but it was owned by fairly wealthy man(1 owner) and traded it in for a infinity. The TL is clean as hell and is worth around 7ish.

It has heated seats, heated sideview mirrors, climate control, cd/tape deck with steering controls, sun/moonroof, traction control, abs, nice bluish halogen head lamps,trip tronic tranny, "vtec"haha, all leather obviously, its pretty loaded!!

It has 225hp, very peppy and smooth. Drives like a dream. Gets about 19mpg city and 26ish highway. Which is much better then my dsm got.

Tell me what you guys think... color is 'steel blue' btw

I really like that. I was lookin into one of those as a daily driver a while ago... Maybe I should consider it again... lol

It does look really clean. Good luck getting that type of mileage...resist the urge to put that 225 hp to work man lol.

Thanks for the comments guys. I plan to just keep it clean. I am going to tint it all out and maybe buy some chrome pillars for it and some chrome rims down the road. I dont want to drop too much money in it though(I dont have the money to do that anyways)

I do drive it pretty calm, might get on it here and there. Its nice, the trip tronic actually helps the perfermance. Not as 'torquey' as a clutch but I think it outperforms that way rather then not shifting myself.

Those are really nice cars. My cuz has had his for a while now, they run perfectly, no maintenence hassles, and are pretty damn comfy.

Yes, I been in a familly that only own lexus or acura, they are very nice, I just leave it stock and regular maintaint, you are good to go :wink: .

You guys can pick fun at me all you want but I just saw my first Lambo the other day on the high way, I looked in my rear view mirror and my jaw just dropped I quickly grabbed my cell phone as he went past and I got right behind him and snapped a couple picks. Apparently there was an exotic car show at the new casino and he was heading there later on I saw a Ferarri but that wasn't my first but she was still o so pretty.

Man that kinda sucks theres a lambo and a ferrari dealership within 10 minutes of my house lol Ya but i really like those i defenitely like the newer ones but theyr more expensive good find!

there is a red ferrari in my area, he hauling ass every where he went, man i love that engine sound. My dream is to drive a diablo.

My friend Jim Johnsons dad has a 93' diablo. I would love to have it but i wouldnt want to drive it daily. You cant see when your driving it and im a really big guy so its interesting. I drove it across town one time and you never get out of third gear even when your railing on it. It was fun ill post some pics of it.
