why is GA mising in open closed loop?

Gentlemen please help me with this one, When I disconect O2 sensors after GA adjusts to new changes it will then run very smooth. As soon as I connect the O2 sensor expecially the #1 O2 sensor engine starts to misfire, shake etc.

What was you adjusting that would require the O2 disconnect ?

Was the sensor up to operating temps?
and was teh engine coolant at operating temps ?

sorry what I meant by adjusting is the adopting time for the engine to relearn new changes. You know what I mean. I noticed that engine at idle does not run rough if I disconnect my O2 sensors. As soon as I connect them engine starts to misfire. Oxygen sensors work fine since I do not have any codes for them. Can that by a sign of shorted PCM ? Engine is 3.1L

well first off idk what you mean by adopt to changes? and second, just b/c you dont have codes for the HO2s, doesnt mean they are not bad. When you d/c the HO2, the pcm substitutes a baseline value in for the missing data. So when you reconnect them, the pcm may be seeing a rich, or lean condition, and trying to adjust for it. Therefore making it miss? :dunno:

You cant adjust timing anyways , and when the o2 is disconnected you will run in openm loop just as justin0717 stated.

Its either one or the other cant be both :grinno:

I know I made mistake in my title it is only closed loop, if I said both 02 sensors are disconnected pcm will and can only be in the closed loop. I also noticed that with O2 normally connected and with AC turned ON, the engine runs much better. I am not trying to adjust timing its DIS I know that :). Thanks for answers. I did try to correct the title but I could't do anything with it, sorry I know it sounds bad.
