I wonder if you washed out some varnish or solids that are now hogging up the valve body...
People don't usually put additives into a tranny that's working fine...so what was the original problem?

I'd do a pan drop and filter change, partial fluid change, see what happenes. You might get lucky and the filter just got shotgunned with more crud than it could handle all at once.
You're not overfull now are you? That can cause problems with engagement. Foams the fluid...

12mm I believe bolts, get a VERY large pan (do you have a cat whose litter box you could borrow?) and do it from narrow (right side of car) to wide, and hope you lose most of it in the pan. Make sure you buy a gasket as well as a filter, Napa's $24 dollar set has never failed me on my gm's. Good luck

ill try that thanks i also just noticed the emergency brake feels like its set the pedal is very easily depressed but the brake release doesnt seem to do anything any suggestions? The brake pedal has to be pumped to be set. I had a very easily depressed one, the brake isnt actuallyon until about the 3rd pump after it gets firm. Replace your rear brake pads (mine didn't have squealers) Now one pump and its firm on. It is also possible, though highly unlikely if this is a daily driver that you JUST started using after years of sitting, that the piston seized up, however, just try pumping the pedal a few times.
