Heater Controls 98 accord

Just last night the heater/defroster/AC/Heatmixture controls stopped working completely on my 98 accord. The light that is usually lit above the setting buttons is not lit and the heat mixture nob doesn't affect the temp of the heater. The Fan control still works but is limited to blowing cold air because of the dead heatmixture nob. I only know of three fuse/relay boxes in the car; drivers side beside door, passenger side beside door, and engine compartment fuse/relay box. Are there any other fuse/relay boxes that I need to check. What could be causing this problem other than a blown fuse. Are these controls connected to the cars computer system in any way? I just had a few more keys programmed to the car a day before the heater controls stopped working. I would take the car to where the keys got programmed but the dealer is across the border. Any ideas? I'm going to go check all the fuses and rumage around for any other fuse boxes. I may take off part of the dash aswell to check the connectors for the console. Also need to fish out some tweezers I lost in the drink cup holder.

There are no more fuse boxes than the ones you listed. Have you checked the HVAC fuse? I think its under the hood. The fan runs on a separate fuse hence its functionality. You probably dont need to dissemble your dash but if the fuse isnt the problem then you may need to lift the controls and check the wires

I removed the control panel and poked around abit. Disassembled the heater control unit and assembled it again. Plugged everything back together and put the control panel back on. Heater controls worked again. If the problem comes up again I know its the wire harness or the heater control unit.

Alright. The heater controls are being very finicky. Some of the display lights don't light up and when I tap that face plate they begin working for awhile. Now the recirculate air button doesnt work, but all the other ones do. Could this be do to a faulty heater control unit, or maybe the unit isn't getting enough power to operate properly. When I turn on the headlights the cabin lights dim, would this have something to do with it? Is my voltage regulator on the fritz, or maybe the battery isn't supplying enough voltage? I dont want to go to a salvage yard just yet for a new control unit.
