First I would check with your state laws.
Most prohibit the use of HID's on the street, though tons of poeple use them every day I'd hate to spend money on something thats going to get me stopped, and most likly the car would have to be changed back to drive it again.
Another thing to remember is the plastic OEM housings can melt from those high watt HID's. just my :2cents:
Yea those black one's look good.
They also used to have one's that were all clear. Though they are not DOT approved with out that yello corner marker
Shouldnt matter since you use an amber bulb anyway.
And they probly have the OEM looking ones.
Just new housings and some sylvania silver stars or thier newest ultras are plenty bright. Thats what I've been using for years.
I love it when someone brights me, then when I return the brights  You can see everyone covering thier eyes like the suns blinding them.
I guess I could turn them all off :naughty:

Yea i believe they are illegal in NY, but what i was really wondering is if i lose my high beams. Meaning do both filaments (high/low) light, or is a HID bulb a single filament bulb, meaning i lose high beams? Im not sure if i wanna convert, im trying to gather all the info before hand, so i dont make some costly mistake :banghead: , however the new headlights are a must :grinyes: . thanks for your input xeroinfinity

I have seen some HID's with only one bulb low and high beam.
Then others have had a bulb for each, which is what I preffer anyway like the older GA's.
I'm sure other here have more details they will share :D
