Welcome to AF
A little more info would be helpful
Any CEL and if so, what codes?
How many miles and/or how long has it been since it was tuned up?

post the codes when you get them pulled. It will help us narrow it down. We could speculate all day, as there are a lot of things that will cause rough acceleration.

Damn...i'm waking up..more to add b4 codes... I have a hole in the exhaust after the catalayic converter. Not sure if that make a diff or not. I guess it depends on what sensor is messed up....IF that's what it is.
I guess I should add that it will occasionally stall as I slow down for a light, or to turn. If I give a bit of gas as I turn its ok. As I said this only happens occasionally.
Codes will be posted tues morn,as I cant get reader until then.

I found 3 codes ...
PO716 input/turbine speed sensor circuit range performance
PO102 Mass or volume circuit low input
PO742 Torque convertor clutch circuit stuck on
As posted before it accelerates very rough at times and SC kicks in right away. it is intermittent though. The same would apply to idling.
Driving me CRAZY. help!!!!

So can anybody explain what the code PO742 is? and what I need to do to fix it? I went to have a smog inspection and the tech was on crutches. His foot sliped of the gas peddle twice and caused the check engine light to come on with this code. I erased it and it has'nt come back up but if I can check it out it would be nice before I take it back in Thanks George
