This car will run like a champ for about 20 miles or 20 minutes then die, even while going 70 MPH it just dies, I checked and had spark and 55 LBS fuel pressure at the rail when it died tonight but it wont start for around 15 minutes ? Does the ECM control the injectors ? Thats the only thing I can think could be wrong ?

Pull the ECU and check the caps.

I didn't mean that you had to go out and buy one, I just wanted you to see if the caps were leaking.

my 1g used to do this and it ended up being the Idel speed control sensor.

Unfortunately, the 2g's don't output knock count to the OBD-II port. You 1g guys are luck since you can see all the really important parameters like IDC, Knock, etc. All of us 2g guys have to rely on timing and airflow numbers.
Anyway, BoyertownMidnight is correct, a speed sensor can cause the same problems, but that normally only happens when the car comes to a stop. Either way, also another good thing to check.

When the car dies and you try to start it again, do you hear the fuel pump kicking in???
This happened to my mom's Grand Caravan... turned out the fuel pump burned out... we could drive the car for 15-20 min, then the damn pump would overheat and stop working... give it 30-60 mins and it would work again...
It eventually had to be replaced...

I have 55 lbs to the fuel rail and spark on all 4 plugs, you wait then here a click under the dash after about 10 min. and it will start.

sounds like the ECU or some sort of relay...
Seriously, even after you get the other one in hand, pull that ECU and take a look at its guts... see if there's any problems in there...

I will probably rebuild it and add a power chip and new caps.

The caps are the round "bulbus" looking things. Take a look at this website...

This guy is the best there is when it comes to fixing 1g ECU's. Might want to take some nice hi-res pictures of the board and ask him if he can take a look at them.
When you checked your FP, did you disconnect the vacuum line?

Well, got the ECU today, to bad it was for a 1.8 not a 2.0, it didnt work, I took all the caps off the 1.8 and put them in the old one and it's running great. Ordered a set of caps on ebay for the 1.8 if anyone needs a ECU for a 1.8 let me know. Thanks for the help.
