Where is this noise coming from?

My '02 GT makes this grunt which can be felt from the floor board ONLY when I pull off after starting the car. Once I hear/feel this grunt, it won't happen again until I shut the car off, start it back up, then take off again. Also, it doesn't matter if I go straight, reverse or turn, once I start the car & take off, it's always there.

I just replaced the rack & pinion as well as the front driver side hub assembly. Could this be a bad rack & pinion? Should I replace the other hub assembly?

Any ideas are appreciated.

I have the same noise on my 2000 gtp. I was told it was the anti-lock brakes being tested after the car reaches 4 mph.

That's interesting. I just wasted $400 to have both front hubs replaced thinking that would solve the issue. With your GTP, can you also feel it through the floor board for a spit second?

At 20mph, I can also feel a sort of rubbing. I cannot feel it at higher speeds.

After thinking about it, this issue started after I had the rack & pinion replaced.

Is there a particular type of rack for my '02 GT? If so, how can I find out which one I need? (Hope mechanic didn't install the wrong one)

Is it possible for the rack & pinion to cause this type of noise?

Also, the wheel is extremely easy to turn after this repair, could it be too easy?

My 99 has realy light steering effort also its normal. As for the buzzing its normal its the ABS unit doing a self check.
