Make My Own Fuel Lines??

I've got an '89 Mitsubishi Mirage that I'm trying to bring back to life as a side project (it would be a 3rd car). I bought it new in '89 and it's gone almost 250k with only minor issues. At some point I'd like to take a crack at rebuilding the engine. I've never done that before and I think it would be fun. Anyway, here's my problem right now: I'm replacing the gas tank and fuel pump, but the tank I bought (AutoZone - "Spectra") only came with one of three fuel lines! The OEM tank has two additional rigid lines running across the top/center (recirc & vapor?) that bolt onto brackets on the tank. The Spectra tank also has these brackets, so I think I COULD transfer the old lines to the new tank, but they don't look too good. I'd rather replace them. Problem is, I can't seem to buy them anywhere. Mitsubishi and Dodge dealers both have part numbers, but they claim I can only get the line assembly if I purchase the whole package (tank and all, which would run an outrageous $1000!).

Can I fabricate these lines myself? Can brake lines be used? Also, I believe one of the lines has a molded-on high-pressure hose with a 2" long, 19mm nut that fastens to another 14mm nut. The connection of the hose to the rigid line appears to be via the classic metal crimped "collar". These rigid lines follow the contour of the tank and so the replacements would have to be bent to match.
