Quad 4 intake

I'm a newbie here and I was wondering is the Quad 4 intake manifold swap really worth it. What kind of gains can I expect. How much time and money is involved in the swap. Thanks

it performs best when you've done all other bolt ons, and some headwork, or are running nitrous and/or a turbo. Otherwise you end up losing too much low end for it be noticeable.
It's meant more for a car with some cams and headwork, where the motor can really take advantage of its flow characteristics.

Ok thanks, cam question I live in South Carolina and around here there isn't to many tuner shops so I'm stuck with the dealership and thats about $95 an hour. I'm use to working on a small block and I was told that you have to be very percise with these cars.

If you search on ebay, sometimes they have GM shop manuals for these motors.
So searching for Grand Am from 1996-2001 model years, Cavalier 1996-2001, Alero 99-2001, malibu 1998-2001, sunfire 1996-2001 shop manuals would and should yield you the exact specs on what needs to be done regarding the cams. It's all really straightforward especially when the directions are in front of ya. There just tends to be an assload of bolts on the timing chain housing which makes doing a cam swap a pain in the butt w/ the motor in the car.
People are just pussies on working on these motors. The new K series honda motors have even more bolts and bullcrap to tear down when doing a build up, I think the Quad 4 or Twin cam 2.3/2.4L motors are nothing nowadays.
