I just got this 4runner and it was driving fine but on the way home one night it started running very rough(like it was only running on 2 or 3 clyindars).
Ive checked spark, timing, gas, cant see any vacuum leaks...
Can anyone suggest anything that may be the problem. ...
Ive replaced the distributor cap/rotor/wires...

I have the same problem with my 4Runner, it's a 1994, 3 Liter V6, and as soon as it gets fixed I'll Post here to let you know , in case it may be the same thing. It's been at the garage for about a month now and hopefully, I Pray To GOD, they will find the problem soon.
Good Luck, I Should Know Within 2 weeks from today, Sorry, thats the best I can do for now.

Thanks OZZYO,
I can't believe that no one else has had this problem. Ive checked everything except engine compression.
Ill keep hoping that someone has a solution.

Alot of people have had this problem and it's Not Only with Toyotas, all the major car dealers are having some customers with these problems, although it seems it's mostly with vehicles that are older and have alot of miles/ kilometers on them.
Google it yourself, it's kinda interesting.
As soon as I know I'll Post it here Coltonk. Hang in there bud my 4Runner is laid up over a month now so I know how you feel. And as I said I should know in less than 2 weeks now.

Well I found out what the problem was with my Rig,,,, turns out it was the O2 Sensor and it's the second time it's been replaced in 8 yrs.
They also replaced the fuel pump, fuel regulator, and the Mass Air Flow Sensor, needless to say it cost a small fortune :( But it's fixed :)
So in the end what was causing all the hesitation , bucking, no power and stalling was the O2 Sensor. I Hope This Helps You With Your 4Runner.

Thanks Ozzyo,
Ill have to see what I can do this weekend, I do know that the O2 sensor is one of the error messages from the computer system.
I appreciate all the help!!!!
