Missing...

Ok I have a buick 80 regal but I put a camaro 350 chevy in it so thats why I'm posting this here. Anyhow I noticed the other day it was missing. I checked it out and cylinder 2 and 4 only there is a gummy type build up it's not oil I know that much. My brother thought it could have been the gas but wouldn't gas effect all the cylinders? This is what I'm thinking is causing it to miss. Post if you know whats causing this and if you have a suggestion on how to fix it. Thanks

Replace the plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor. Then try starting it again. If those 2 cylinders were dead the gas could have gummed up on the plugs.

Oh should have added that lol. We checked wires, plugs and everything they are clean. But when we take out the plugs on those 2 the threads have the build up not the ignition part. We know it's not the plugs or wires or anything with the distributor.

if you have access to an ignition scope it can tell you what cylinders are missing. what color is the buildup ?

if the buildup is on the threads only, then it probably has nothing to do with your problem. It could very well be the dist. cap, i've had one only last 2 weeks on me before.
