Performance Shift question

I have a 2002 GTP.
I installed the gear shift with the performance shift button. I connected the button to pin 21 on the clear cable on the PCM and now I need to know how to get the performance shift on the DIC or the dash to turn on when the button is engaged. Where do I need to hook the wires to get that light to work, or am i just doing the whole project wrong? Any input on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Update.
After looking through the many posts on the topic I have realized that just installing the performance shift knob doesn't actually mean I have performance shift. I can however get a pcm for a 1997 GTP, and I was curious as to whether or not my 2002 GTP would function properly if I installed it in the car.

Since the 2001-2003 Grand Prix GTPs do not have performance shift stock the first step is you will need the reprogrammed PCM module from companies like DHP. The next step is once pin 21 is wired the performance shift indicator will work without any other further wiring mods as long as you have the enhanced DIC with trip computer which all GTPs should have.
The PCM module from a '97 GTP will not work in your 2002 model. The rule of thumb is to stay with one for your year GTP.
