Suicide Doors or Taillight Conversion Next???

Well which do you guys think I should do? I wanna go full show with my car and what I really need to do next is a swap, but that's gonna be awhile. Right now, I need a body shop to make the spot in my back bumper for the license plate, so I figure I might as well do a little more body work at the same time. I'm thinking of either going with an R33 taillight conversion or suiciding the back doors. I know this is probably sooooooooooo ricey, but I won't be painting whatever work is done right now. No reason to paint it this time when the car will be going back to the body shop later on.
Most of you probably would think to do it all at the same time, but I really want something to set my car apart from all the rest. I mean, IMO, my car is nicer than the average car you see on the street...atleast where I'm from...but even still I see a few cars with headlight conversions, and that just makes me want to do more body work to make my car different. Like I said, I wanna go FULL show eventually, but being that right now it's a daily driver, I still gotta worry about all the other competition out on the streets, so back to the point; which should I do...suicide the rear doors, or do the taillight conversion? I think the total cost for the doors will be cheaper...in fact I know it will...than the taillight conversion. Suiciding the rear two doors, is about $1000, compared to the $1500 for the labor on the conversion, and then the cost of the lights themselves; $695

i'd go with the taillight conversion..

Headlight conversion!!! tiiiiight! hey how much did shaving the handles and moldings cost? and how much do you think it would be just to get the moldings shaved? 4 doors representin baby! :D

Hey your car's pretty nice! Are you on air ride? As for the shavings and stuff, the cost depends on the shop you go to.
I also agree that all four doors suicided would look kind of funny. I think suicide doors on a coupe wouldn't look good either. I wanna go lambo style with the front two. As for the taillight conversion, I'm gonna go with the Skyline R33. I'll find a pic real quick.

Are you going to eventually do both suicide and tails? If so here's my thought. The doors will only be noticed when a passenger enters the rear of the car, or when its at a show, but the tails will be noticable 24/7. If your going to do both and are just looking for a quick fix for your addiction (its a good addiction though, not like heroin) then do the tails first, you'll notice them much more and so will everyone else on the street.

Whether you go all out with the new tails, get rid of the altezza's. They were cool, i used to love them, but they just look "fake". A bad ass car like yours doesnt need them. You need something red, more subtle but classy.
I do like the lights on the accord, and the lights on the gold civic would look good if the thing WASNT SO FUCKIN HIGH IN THE AIR! How many inches is that damn thing raised? And you cant put a wing that big on a non-lowered car, its illegal.

I don't like those R33 tails. They too ordinary for me.
What about s2k tails? Anybody have a pic of a civic with those? I've seen them on a del Sol, but never a civic. :confused:

CivicLx, yeah my car is on air :) If you have the time, pick up the next issue of Euro Lowrider (December/January). My car is featured as a Tech Install when they put in the air suspension (if they didn't decide to edit it out).

Well I don't even know what's up now. I dropped off my back bumper at the body shop yesterday to have the spot made for the license plate. I had decided that I'd have them lambo the front doors first, if the cost was about the same as suiciding the rear doors. Well it is, so I decided that we'd schedule an appointment in a couple weeks to bring my car back. Well now I found a 95 GSR engine for $3,000 COMPLETE. Thing is, now my car won't be smog legal, plus I'd like a newer engine anyway just because I'm picky like that.
So as it is now, I'm not sure what will be next. I'm still waiting on the carbon fiber hood, but it's no big deal that it's not here yet.
Bottom line; I NEED A JOB!!!!

lol im a mechanic but there is a body shop that is part of our shop, they must have done at least 4 conversions to r33 tail lights, all of which I think look ugly as F_CK.... you have so many to choose from man, s2000, supra, new lude lights, altezza lights are starting ta get played out around here too but they still look bad ass on accords. there is a girl pushing a 95 accord with a full body kit, front and rear altezza conversion. it even has the badges from the lexus with the is300 badge on the back, the girl couldn't afford a lexus so she made one, lol. A car enthusiast could tell cause the accord rides higher off the ground, but it is a sweet ass lookin car... baby blue

IMO, i would do a s14 headlight conversion, but when you get your CFHOOD, its not gonna work....... So, i like SMOOVSOL's idea with getting the REAL ALTEZZA tails in the back, people might think, Hey, its just those gay APC tails, but when you come up close, they will see the real deal!!! Thats a real good idea, ithink you should do that!
