The Ultimate Detroit/Maranello race

Coming back from Rochester last weekend i saw the best race in the entire world. It was a Saleen Mustang and a 550 Maranello Barchetta on the high way duking it out. They started on an onramp and gunned it from there..needless to say in the end the 550 kicked ass..he had that dude in the dust by a good 300 feet

One more for the ferrari. They just can't be beat.Juts imagine if that would've been the 360 modena which is even more race bred than the maranello.

uhh.. what difference would that make if theyre racing on the highway? Its not exactly the Nurburgring.

Diablo Vs F355 from the lights. Spectacular. :cool: unless it was the older diablo, then those two cars aren't very evenly matched up, A race that my friend participated in was quite nice, he beat a Z06 in his 550 Barchetta from a rolling start. that would have been a site to see.

guess your right. Unless there was traffic that would be crazy.

Saw a F355 race a 308... The 355 was faster but due to the slipperly road it spun out before it got to pound the 308... Both rossa. :cool:

The F355 would have pounded the 308 indeed.... whether live or on vid, i couldnt have watched the 355 spin off the road.. its the most beautiful Ferrari ever, i just couldnt stand to see one crash..

hm yea the 355 is great but my favourite is still the 550 barchetta followed very close my 355 spider

i can´t imagine somebody survived in there

(menu) something tells me that was just a wrecked ferrari (maybe like the back end) and then it got crushed like @ a junk yard...but i could be wrong

I think 340's right, the car doesnt look like its been rolled so probably seriously damaged (front or back i dont know) and then written off. so i dont think anyone perished in this one, but there are some pretty nasty pictures over the web of a guy who died in his F355 in Brazil... quite shocking pictures :(

theres a link to a german site (i think its german) that has pictures of a 355 during a street race that crashed..both people inside were ejected and were slaughtered..one was wrapped around a guard rail.. THEY were gruesome..and they showed the dead people and everything...those pics are in the street racing forum

No it didn't hit anything... it was on the road to Lake Tahoe (Northern California) so there were trees in the way, but both the driver and 355 were OK. Only my friend and I (tifosi... hehe) slowed down too see if he was good to go... The 308 just kept accelerating, while 2 families in SUVs followed... :o
