just crashed my 91 Si today................

some fool cut me off and I braked, skid and hit another woman, the car is at the pound they say it's done with, no point in fixing it, i haven't smiled since this morning............but i'm waiting to see if insurance is going to give me money for it or not, if not, i'm parting it out, Si seats, Si everything, the only thing you can't have cause of damage is the passenger side door, so i will keep you updated on if i can part it out or not...........after the cops left, i had to wait for my ride home and i swear i saw like 8 white Si's pass me by....it was the worst feeling.......i don't think i could drive any other car anymore....well except a M3 j/k

on a side note. If your part it out... do you have the optional audio console, if so i would like to get it. Looks like this

first of all, only the dx model came with that HP, and the SOHC Vtec has 127, and then all we gotta do is put maybe 2 grand or so, and get a b16 (160hp) , or 3 grand or so and get a b18c(180hp) and then maybe put another 3 grand, and get a turbo and then you have about what? at least 250hp..... and now, if you are smart, you can see the power to weight ratio.... cause our cars only weign like what, 1 ton? 2000 lbs, for morons like you.... and what does a NON RACE CAR, which i presume is probably a RUSTANG.... lol, which weighs l ike 3500 lbs.... haha, whatever, not even worth argueing.... have fun knocking on us HONDA owners cause u know you will never be one of us.... but who cares, we dont want you........

sorry i took so long to reply but i been busy with my insurance company, i actually found out that on the accident report i'm not at fault....oh and btw the guy who cut me off didn't stop he sped away...so thats why i thought i was at fault, but i guess the police officer is blaming the accident on a third party driver and weather, it was raining like crazy.... so i might get the full 3g's back for my car if i argue it right...and i might get a rental car for the duration of the claming process..... but now i'm kinda pissed, cause if the insurance takes the car, they take my xenon lights, my clear corners, my front grill and my new altenator, what if i buy another 4g i need all that shit!!!!!! so me parting out my car is still up in the air oh and to the guy who wanted the glove box, yes it is black, but it's smashed buy the cop who couldn't get it open because the passenger side door was sorta blocking it......

If you still have the damaged car, you can just take all those parts or replace em with something they can work with...thats what I did when my car was vandalized and insurance said it was totalled...I took the twin carbs out, distributor, header, spoilers, lightened flywheel...it will be tough to take visible items though like headlights and stuff. Unless you can replace em with broken ones...:flash:

If they do take it, they'll just sell it at auction to the highest bidder, so all you would have to do would be buy it at the auction at a cut rate price... part out what you want, and sell the rest to your local scrap yard

Insurance usually offers a "buy it now" price which is substantially cheaper that they can deduct from your total check.
