my kia will not start, it was starting without a glitch until two days ago, I think it has to do with the temperature, because monday and tuesday both days were warm and it has been cold lately, the only thing that i have to tell you about is that when i took it to the dealer they remove the safety switch because even though the alarm was turned off it still would not start, you would only hear a click but nothing, i would have to start opening and closing all the doors until it would probably register that it was the proper key or that all the doors were close or that the alarm was off???? :screwy: not sure but it would then start, so the dealer remove the alarm supposevely:icon16: but it still has an alarm when i locke it????:banghead: but the car did not give me any problems starting again, this week it has begun with the same issue no starting, i jump the car but the battery is ok, it is doing the same thing as it was at the beginning when i bought it???? ; it has been two days now and I have not been able to move it from its spot any ideas anyone????:disappoin

Issues with the "immobilizer" have been reported often...but to make the problem clear for all who will help:
- does the STARTER crank? (but the engine does not FIRE-UP)
or
- does the starter not even rotate

the started does not cranck, its as if there was no power at all, but the funny thing is that it used to happen before and as soon as the doors or something was changed or moved the car would start, I think it also prevents the started from rotating....so yes to both i think, I am not a mechanic sorry mate!!! what do you think?
